Marine Educative Area "Generation 9" : Ecological assessment

Marine Educative Area

On Friday, October 9, the CM2E students at École Saint-Charles discovered the ecological assessment of their Marine Educative Area, presented by Dr. Alexis Pey from the consultancy Thalassa Marine research & Environmental awareness.

This document provides a better understanding of the site’s current condition by identifying the species and habitats present, as well as the human activities that could threaten the marine environment.

Full of enthusiasm, the students showed great interest in scientific diving and the techniques used to observe and study underwater biodiversity. The meeting also provided an opportunity to consider practical initiatives to combat habitat degradation, a key focus of their educational project for the year.

Program supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Government of Monaco.
