Marine Educative Area "Generation 8" : Climate Fresk

Marine Educative Area

Alongside activities conducted on corals, the class from the Marine Educational Area of the François d’Assise–Nicolas Barré Institution visited the AMPN facilities to participate in creating the Climate Fresk.

Designed by the organization of the same name, this educational workshop is based on a card game that helps better understand the causes and consequences of climate change. It was offered to the CM2 students in its junior version to reinforce, in a fun way, the knowledge they have gained since the beginning of the year.

At the end of the workshops, students were invited to share their feelings about climate issues. Two main trends emerged: while some highlighted the complexity and scale of climat change, others showed motivation to take action, especially thanks to the concrete actions they discovered throughout the year.

The session concluded with a debate where students shared their viewpoints. These exchanges allowed them to identify the main challenges related to climate change, as well as the many existing solutions. They understood that every action counts in limiting the extent of warming and its effects on biodiversity and humans.

A big thank you to Climate Fresk for generously providing this tool for educational purposes.

Program supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Government of Monaco.
