Marine Educative Area "Generation 7" : Environmental DNA results n°3
Marine Educative Area
This morning, the AMPN presented the final part of the environmental DNA results! Back in November, the young scientists conducted this experiment to identify the species in their MEA and understand how to better protect them.
This intervention allowed them to discover the integrity of the food chain and identify commercially valuable species present in the MEA.
But the adventure doesn’t stop here! After analyzing the results, the students brainstormed actions to preserve this ecosystem, proposing management and awareness measures. Their work will be showcased at the end-of-year event.
A big thank you to the Department of the Environment, the Department of Maritime Affairs, and Monaco Riviera Navigation for their support in making this project possible.
This program is supported by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco and the Government of Monaco.
