Marine Educative Area "Generation 7" : Ecological diagnostic
Marine Educative Area
Thursday, October 17th, Drs. Patricia Ventura and Alexis Pey from the Thalassa Marine Research & Environmental Awareness consulting firm visited the 7ème A class of Saint-Charles School to present the ecological assessment of the MEA.
Conducted in 2019 at the request of AMPN, the assessment provides an overview of the site, inventories the different species, and also highlights the various human activities that could exert pressure on the area.
The students asked many questions about data collection methods and brainstormed actions they could implement to better regulate human activities. These discussions show that they are already taking to heart the role of MEA managers, which was entrusted to them for this school year.
A big CONGRATULATIONS to the students for their motivation and involvement in this project!
