Raising awareness at Larvotto beach
Events
This afternoon, the AMPN was present on Larvotto Beach, on the edge of the Marine Protected Area, to offer workshops and educational games aimed at raising awareness among the youngest about the protection of the Mediterranean.
Among the activities offered, the "sustainable fishing" game allowed participants to discover the species of fish along our coasts, as well as their protection statuses and the regulated sizes for capture. The children quickly understood that it is essential to allow fish time to grow and reproduce before catching them, if we want this activity to continue. They also learned more about other marine species through games like the goose game, "Guess Who?" and memory, all adapted to marine animals.
This initiative was also an opportunity to inform parents about the existence of the Marine Protected Area and the management actions being carried out there.
A big THANK YOU to the association's volunteers who made the animation of this half-day possible, as well as to the participants for their interest and motivation!
