Staff training of Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort
Education and Awareness
Today, the AMPN visited the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, a socio-economic stakeholder and committed partner located in the heart of the Larvotto Marine Protected Area.
The goal of this visit was to raise awareness among the hotel staff about the ecological richness of the MPA and the challenges related to its conservation. Through discussions and an interactive presentation, participants learned about what a Marine Protected Area is, the importance of the Posidonia seagrass beds, and the management actions carried out by AMPN: biodiversity monitoring, public awareness, and regulation of human activities. Emphasis was placed on best practices to adopt and share with guests, in order to reconcile hotel operations with environmental protection.
