MPA presentation at École des Révoires in CM2 class : Intervention n°1
Education and Awareness
On October 18th and 22nd, AMPN had the pleasure of engaging with the 7ème B and C classes at the Révoires school.
This meeting marks the beginning of a series of three sessions dedicated to Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).
During this presentation, the students were introduced to MPAs, their importance, and the associated ecological benefits.
The focus then shifted to Monaco’s MPAs, with special attention to Larvotto. The students learned about the crucial role of the Posidonia seagrass, as well as other habitats like rocky and sandy seabeds. They also learned how to recognize the main marine species present, such as fish, crustaceans, and mollusks.
The next step will take them along the Larvotto MPA to explore this natural space in the field.
Congratulations to the students for their enthusiasm and curiosity!
A big THANK YOU to the teachers and the administration of Révoires school for supporting the awareness raising of future generations.
