MPA presentation at Lycée Albert 1er in 2nde ES 1 class : Intervention n°2
Education and Awareness
Today, the AMPN met the 2nde ES1 of Lycée Albert 1er for the second time.
This session is part of the ongoing Adopt a Float project and took place on the beach of the Larvotto Marine Protected Area (MPA).
The goal was to present the management measures implemented in the MPA and to familiarize the students with the scientific protocols used during underwater monitoring. Through educational workshops, the students simulated fish counting protocols and assessed the health status of seagrass (Posidonia) on land. After studying the MPA regulations, they also analyzed different human activities related to boating, fishing, and recreation, and indicated whether these are permitted or prohibited.
