MPA presentation at École des Révoires in CM2 A, B and C class : Intervention n°3

Education and Awareness

The last intervention of the year with the 7th grade A, B, and C students at Révoires School provided an opportunity to evaluate the knowledge gained on the theme of Monaco's Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).

Using the interactive whiteboard and working independently, the students positioned various prohibitions, habitats, species, facilities, and users of the Larvotto MPA on the map.

They then took on the role of scientists to count the Corbs and Brown Groupers, protected and iconic fish of the Mediterranean, during a simulated underwater dive. Divided into groups, some students played the role of the fish while others acted as the scientists. Their mission was to record the encountered species, their number, size, and direction relative to the counter on census boards.

A big BRAVO to the students for their dedication and enthusiasm! Thanks to these three interventions, they were able to understand the main challenges of managing an MPA and learn more about the natural heritage of the Principality.
