Fête du Musée 2025
Education and Awareness
Today, the 5th edition of the Fête du Musée took place at the Musée Océanographique de Monaco, enthusiastically organized by the Association des Amis du Musée océanographique de Monaco. On this occasion, several stands hosted by stakeholders from the Principality helped raise awareness among visitors of all ages about environmental protection, and more specifically about marine conservation.
The AMPN was there to showcase its work in managing Monaco’s Marine Protected Areas (MPAs): scientific monitoring, deployment of artificial reefs, and much more.
Two hands-on workshops were offered:
- In the shoes of a scientist: learning how to count fish
- Discovering protected and exotic Mediterranean species
Thanks to access to the Museum’s aquariums, this immersive approach allowed visitors to come face to face with iconic species found in Monaco’s two MPAs.
A big thank you to the Association des Amis du Musée Océanographique de Monaco for this wonderful and friendly day, and to our dedicated volunteers for their invaluable help and unwavering commitment
